"My name is Thorbjorn Englund, guitarplayer and producer for the Swedish metal band Winterlong. During the years I've released about ten albums, both for Winterlong (Lion Music) and other bands. I have worked with heavy industry names like Anders Johansson (Hammerfall / Malmsteen), Lars Eric Mattsson, and Hulkoff from Raubtier. I' ve also worked with Vladimir Tanov on a few projects, mainly for Star Queen’s first release "Faithbringer" (2002). Vladimir is a very professional producer with a great sense for what sounds right. He has a remarcable talent when it comes to producing, and he knows how to find the right sound and feeling for different styles of music. "I started working with Vladimir Tanov during 1996. Firstly, I was a singer in many of the projects he managed then. Most of the songs we wrote together, where I did the basic melodies and then he built up the whole arrangement upon those drafts. Vladimir is born with a “professional” hearing. Not a single detail is missed. I remember we got poor equipment but though he was a pioneer in recording and mixing music digitally, when 99% of the pro-studios in Bulgaria in the last 90's did it all analog. And he was under his 18's then – I find it impressive. I've always loved recording with Vladimir because of his professional attitude in social situations and great argumentation about the productions. Since I've been living abroad, I had not visited Vladimir in a few years, so when I came in the new studio Mixperience – I was speechless... Such a great job! I am sure we will have more projects in the future, because just the environment in the studio is so inspiring with all those endless possibilities. There are very few sound engineers in Bulgaria with his knowledge and skills, with his visions and experience, and not at last – his ambition for perfection."
